D.    SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS
A selection committee, comprised of two local faculty (from UM) and myself, will give preference to applicants who demonstrate they can translate the benefits of the seminar directly into their teaching and research. There are no language prerequisites.

E.    PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR PARTICIPANTS
No academic credit will be awarded, but participants will be encouraged to carry out projects, whether in the form of course syllabi or research projects (outlines, sketches, or essays will be acceptable). I will continue to provide resources to participants upon completion of the seminar. And Contexts for Classics will remain a vital organ of dissemination of reception studies in the academy, to which all seminar participants will be welcomed as new members; if any conferences or panels designed especially for CFC should emerge from this seminar, we would all be delighted.
